The Germans made one of the first Rottweiler clubs in 1907, and later in the year joined other Rottweiler clubs in the area to make the IRK (International Rottweiler Club). During this time the Rottweiler breed has been gaining popularity in the United States as well. Though not as popular here as in Contrary to popular believe Rottweilers are considered to be very obediant, good tempered, and very good dogs. Depending on what you are feeding them that could be up to over $100 a month just to feed the dog. Other things that people do not think about is how much exercise that these types of dogs need. The worst thing you can do for a dog is get one without thinking that they will need to be walked at least once a day. Just remember that adopting a Rottweiler will cost you a little bit of money, but this money isn't for the dog. It's for the things that they used to make the dog well, or things they have done to the dog that normally costs money. Since many of these places are non-profit they have to make their money some how. The fee for the do will probably be cost of food, cost of spaying or neutering the dog, and any shots that the dog may require. You will still get one for a lot cheaper then if you went to a breeder but you need to realize there will be a fee. Obviously, this girl loved to run, and either location she would run and pounce on me, wrestle with me, and offer me so much unconditional love. I later moved to San Francisco, during the Dot Com Boom, and during that time, NO ONE was allowing animals (let alone a large dog). Savannah was given to a good home who loved Rottweilers. I now live in Seattle, and would love to have this wonderful breed. Ideally, one that is a year or up to three years would be great. Gender is not important.
